Sweet Soul

Medium Male Red Cattle Dog

Meet Eddie!

A sweet, happy, and calm 5-month-old deaf red cattle dog who loves a good pat and is keen to make friends. He is on the small side for a cattle dog with the cutest little legs and serious eyeliner that would revival Alice Cooper.

He is learning commands like sit and stay using hand signals and is proving to be a bit of a smarty pants picking up on new skills very quickly. He is eager to please and thrives on affection. He has good leash manners and rides well in the car.

Eddie is great with kids (8+yrs) and is happy to fill that Best Mate role and play fetch and adventure with the small humans. He is equally happy to curl up by your feet while you watch TV.

Eddie is very social and gets on well with other dogs. He would suit a home with a friendly canine pal to play with and keep him company or a family that will involve him in everything they do.

As with all working breeds Eddie needs a family that is committed to continuing his training and ensures that gets all the mental and physical stimulation, he needs to be a well-rounded family member.

Eddie is located in Brisbane, QLD. Interstate adoption is available

* Interstate adoptions are welcome *

Hello, my name is Leah and I share my home with my husband Stuart, son Fraser and daughter Meredith. I am a school teacher, Stuart is a fire fighter, Fraser is 15 and Meredith 12.
Our son Fraser is deaf and has bilateral cochlear implants. He is the only member of our extended family who is deaf.
For the longest time, Fraser has wanted a dog and after hearing about ‘Hear no evil’ he has waited patiently for ‘ the right one’.
Tonight he saw Eddie. We all fell in love instantly.
We have the time to spend with him, the kids are old enough to walk and patient to continue training. I work full time, but Stuart is home 5 days a week on his 24 hr shift.
Could you please let me know if he is still available and if we have a chance to adopt him??

Hi. I sent a comment a week or so ago asking about Eddie and whether travel to South Australia is possible? Any info would be great. Thanks.
