Charlie

Charlie is a sweet and resilient dog with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a condition that makes him a little wobbly on his feet, but it certainly doesn’t stop him from enjoying life to the fullest.

His muscle control continues to improve, although he will still wobble and stumble from time to time, especially when he gets excited.

Charlie doesn’t let anything hold him back. He also has cataracts and requires regular eye drops, but he takes this part of his daily routine in his stride and handles it with very little fuss.

He has learned his name, has excellent recall, and walks beautifully on lead. While he can be a little cautious when meeting new people, he warms up quickly once he feels comfortable.

Charlie is currently living with two other dogs, but any introductions to new canine companions should be done slowly. He is not suitable for homes with cats or pocket pets.

Charlie is incredibly affectionate, especially with children, and loves toys, playtime, and food of every kind. He is happiest when he is with his people and would thrive in a home where he is not left alone for long periods. He has learnt to entertain himself and particularly enjoys shredding pizza boxes and playing fetch—in Charlie’s own unique way.

Charlie would be best suited to a patient and understanding family who can appreciate his special needs and provide him with plenty of love, cuddles, and reassurance.

In return, Charlie will fill your home with laughter, joy, and unconditional love. 💙🐾
