Meet Miss Loretta Longlegs!

As her name suggests, Loretta is quite the long dog, with legs for days, ears that are mostly decorative and a personality that is impossible not to love.

This sweet one-year-old girl is a true social butterfly. She loves people, absolutely adores kids and will happily follow them around to see what they are doing. She is affectionate, playful, curious and loves being included in family life.

Loretta is also amazingly adaptable. She is deaf and has limited vision, but she takes new experiences in her stride and does not let that stop her from enjoying life.

She is very dog-friendly and has lived happily with dogs of different sizes. She loves a good play and can get a little enthusiastic at times, so older or quieter dogs may appreciate having some space from her excitement.

Loretta also lives with two cats. She is still learning that they do not always want to join in the fun, so she needs some gentle reminders about boundaries. She has not been tested with pocket pets.

Sadly, Loretta was left behind when her previous owners moved house. Thankfully, a kind elderly neighbour stepped in and cared for her until reaching out for help through their local vet. Despite everything, Loretta has remained incredibly loving, trusting and full of joy.

Loretta was born with one eye that never developed. Her remaining eye has limited vision but is healthy and currently requires no medication, just routine monitoring.

And those ears? They may be some of the biggest you will ever see, but they are purely for decoration because Loretta cannot hear a thing.

She is looking for a family who will love her for exactly who she is, include her in their adventures and enjoy the fun, affection and laughter she brings with her.

And don’t let that signature head tilt fool you. She may look like she is listening very carefully, but she really has no idea what you are saying.
